As we continue to grow to meet the increasingly diverse needs of our clients, the staff of professionals are comprised Licensed Tax Consultants, Enrolled Agents, and Licensed Tax Preparers, along with Bookkeeping, Payroll, and Administrative Specialists.
The firm was built on workmanship, ethic, and integrity in conjunction with the importance of family. Over the years, Above All Accounting, Inc has achieved a balance of meeting deadlines and excellent customer service. Allowing the flexibility for staff to schedule time for volunteering in classrooms, attending field trips, and helping in the community.
Lisa Heckman, Owner & Founder
From the moment Lisa took her first accounting course in high school, she knew accounting was her career path. Accounting fascinated her. She originally planned to join one of the big seven accounting firms. However, it wasn’t until her first son was born that she realized she would need to establish her own path. Above All Accounting Inc was founded in 1994 with the purpose to form a career that combined Lisa’s passion for accounting with time for family.
Lisa received her B.S. in Accounting from Pacific University and she is a Licensed Tax Consultant and Enrolled Agent. She has been running Above All Accounting since its start over 24 years ago and prides herself that some clients have been with the company since its very beginning.
Laura enjoys assisting clients with bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation needs. She earned her Associate’s degree and Bachelor’s degree, both in Accounting and is currently pursuing her Enrolled Agent License. Her affiliation with the military has given her the opportunity to work in accounting in many facets and regions of the country. Laura is originally from New Jersey and has since lived and worked in eight additional states. She joined Above All Accounting, Inc. in 2016.
We’ve had another Lisa join our team! Lisa Leigh started with the company in February 2019 and is new to our Above All Accounting, Inc. family. She grew up working in her parent’s family owned retirement home and gained the passion for assisting others. She joins our team with over 20 years of experience in fast-paced work environments and customer service. Lisa embraces building strong relationships with both clients and co-workers and she loves to learn and take on new projects.
Marilyn enjoys the variety of her work in preparing taxes for partnerships, corporations, and a wide range of individuals. Her specialty is preparing taxes for non-profit organizations. She has an Associate’s degree in Business with a focus on Accounting. Marilyn previously owned a tax office franchise for fifteen years in Idaho before moving to Nevada and working for a mining contractor. Since then, she traveled on to Oregon where she was excited to re-enter the tax preparation field and has been a part of our team since 2005.
Michael joined the Above All Accounting team early 2018. Prior to Above All Accounting, Michael spent years working for small companies in several industries, including non-profit, green energy, and computer technology. Michael loves to problem-solve and particulary enjoys working with clients who have found themselves in unique tax situations. Michael possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
Nicholas originally joined the team in 2008 as a Bookkeeper and currently serves as an Accountant and Payroll Specialist. He works extensively in all aspects of bookkeeping and payroll as a trusted resource in both areas. In 2013, he graduated from Colorado Technical University with a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Accounting. In 2016, he earned his tax license and began to delve into the world of tax preparation. He enjoys his work relationships with co-workers and clients alike.
Sheryl has a knack for office work and enjoys fostering amiable relationships with clients. Her work experience includes finances for various companies before being transportation manager for fifteen years at Faith Bible School. She has been in office environments for her entire career, supporting both colleagues and clients respectfully. Sheryl came on board in 2016 and works to ensure our Accounts Receivable Department runs efficiently.
Theresa brought her attention to detail and problem solving skills to the team in 2013. She worked in the banking industry for many years, and also worked in sales and non-profit finances. Theresa has over twenty-five years of dedicated experience in management, operations and customer service. She is passionate about building strong, professional relationships with clients and co-workers, and creating a sense of community within the company. Theresa holds an Associate’s degree in Business Administration.
Tiffany has been working for Above All Accounting since 2014. She has over twenty years of experience working in the insurance and financial industry, most of this time dedicated to client relations. She has an Associate’s degree in Business and utilizes her skills in assisting both clients and colleagues in all manners of workflow, including tax resolution, Offer-in-Compromises, abatements, and tax administration.
Tracy has over thirty years with small businesses as well as having been a business owner and has extensive management and operations experience, as well as customer service. She is an Oregon State University alumni with a Bachelor’s of Science in Financial Management as well as a CCB licensed contractor. Tracy is passionate about delivering quality customer service and currently enjoys working with bookkeeping clients to get their books in tip-top shape, as well as filling in for administrative needs during tax season. Tracy has been part our team since 2010.
William is an Oregon Licensed Tax Consultant who enjoys building a rapport with both clients and co-workers. He previously worked for a CPA firm preparing Medicare/Medicaid cost reports, and has experience in all things taxes. He joined the Above All Accounting, Inc. team in 2010. In addition to a B.S. in Business and Public Administration with a concentration in Accounting, William has minors in Finance and Information Management, making him a wealth of financial knowledge.
